Hamilton Wealth Management in conjunction with Altius Asset Management were pleased to host a dinner with Adam Boyton, at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club on Thursday 21st February 2019. Adam  provided an update on the Australian economy and his outlook for Investment markets in 2019, leading a discussion around these themes.

Adam Boyton is currently the Chief Economist at the Business Council of Australia. Prior to joining the Business Council he was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, the Bank’s Australian Chief Economist and Head of Fixed Income Research. He started his career at the Federal Treasury and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet; and has also served as the Chief of Staff to a NSW Opposition Leader.

Adam is currently a member of the NSW Skills Board, a body that advises the Deputy Premier on vocational education and training. He is also on the board of the NSW Rural Assistance Authority and the NSW Rice Marketing Board; and was formally a Trustee of the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust.

Adam has been a monthly contributor to the Australian Financial Review for the past four years. He has also had opinion pieces published in The Australian and The Age newspapers. Adam has written a number of contributions for books, including recently reprising Robert Menzies’ 1942 essay “Has Capitalism Failed”.
