Retirees should duck for cover as ASIC puts hybrids in its crosshairs (The Aust 26/09/18)

Hamilton Wealth News

Will Hamilton’s article from last Saturday in The Weekend Australian has been quoted extensively by James Kirby as he discusses Hybrid Securities.

James brings up as well the so-called Target Market legislation which is now before the Senate which could potentially restrict or eliminate a range of current financial products from the market including sharemarket floats and bank hybrids.

You look at this legislation, the lack of liquidity that can exist in Hybrids and the pending franking credit changes if the ALP was elected as the government, we believe changes the game negatively for Hybrid securities.
