Investor Insight 59, April 2018

admin Insights

As with the commencement of each quarter we look back at the quarter that has been and discuss the performance and importantly why for each asset class.

Importantly we also provide portfolio positioning for each asset class.

Volatility has dominated the first quarter of 2018 in January we experienced equity market strength across all markets except Australia, in February a market sell off led by a bond market sell off and the quick bounce back of both bonds and equities and finally in March a sell off being blamed on a potential trade war however behind this is also signs that growth is peaking or close to peaking in northern hemisphere economies.
